Memory Map

Memory Map - Trailzilla
Memory Map approached us in 2009 with an idea to create a companion web site to their very successful range of handheld GPS tracking devices and software. They wanted to create an online community where people could upload their trails and share them with others.

The site needed to show large-scale Ordnance Survey mapping (such as 1:50,000 Landranger and 1:25,000 Explorer maps) that all of Memory Map's customers were familiar with, and allow GPX data to be uploaded as well as allowing users to manually digitise trails.

Ascot Racecourse

Ascot Racecourse Web Map
Our web-based mapping expertise was used to great effect on the web map used by Ascot to help show their users what to expect when they attended Royal Ascot.

The site, written in JavaScript so that it could be used across all devices including iPads, enabled users to select the type of ticket they had bought and see what facilities were available to them. This included where to park their cars, which entrances to best use and what restaurants were available. Various routes were also shown including the Royal Procession route.

The map went live for the Royal Ascot meeting in June 2011.

Cassini Publishing

Cassini Historical Maps
Our relationship with Cassini started in 2004 and during that time we have worked with them on many of their mapping and web-site requirements. These include:
  • Investigation into and re-projection of various series of historical maps
  • Creation of a map engine to generate imagery for use in various products
  • Developed the award winning MapMaker front-end selection mechanism to allow users to identify the exact location/scale for their maps
  • Provided advice and support

Ancestral Atlas

Ancestral Atlas
Ancestral Atlas was designed to allow users to map the locations of their ancestor's lives using Google maps.

Entire family trees can be uploaded and visualised geographically by placing map pins at the various locations of key life events, such as births, christenings, marriages and deaths.

These events can be joined together to show "life maps" showing an individual's or family's migration over time.

Users can keep the data private or share it with other users, allowing connections between families to be discovered.

Ross Consular

Ross Consular
We were originally approached by Ross to help modify and maintain their existing internal Passport and Documents management systems. They later decided to ask us to re-write this system, along with their website (which shows content generated by the internal system) to freshen things up.

VisitManager

Visit Manager
VisitManager is a site we created to help people schedule multiple sales calls to various clients.

Most scheduling packages allow you to work out a schedule on a daily basis but VisitManager went one step further by allowing you to schedule calls over a few days or weeks by specifying the earliestand latest dates each call could be made within.

A detailed itinerary is then generated for the whole period of time necessary to make all the calls.
